Goapply pre-work checklist
This checklist is a resource you can use to prepare for creating your GOapply application.

To have the best GOapply experience, we recommend planning your applications processes prior to entering anything into GOapply. Going through this process will save you time when setting up your application(s), while helping you understand how GOapply is structured.
We recommend blocking off 2 hours of time to go through this process. The more prepared you are prior to creating your application, the more smoothly your process will go. Here are some best practices to begin your planning process:
- Determine Phases: Write out the entire process for your application: Does it start with a Letter of Intent? Does it include a Final Report? These will be your Phases in GOapply.
- Determine Pages: Decide what questions need to be asked in each stage or phase of your process: What information needs to be collected at the Application Phase? What information do you need at the Interim Report Phase?
- Determine Fields: Now that you have the list of questions, put all of them in order and decide where Page breaks need to go. How many questions do you want to ask on each Page?
- Determine Field Types: Next, you need to decide the type of Field for each question. Refer to the GOapply Admin Guide to help you.
- Determine Mapping: Now determine which Fields you want to map or transfer into akoyaGO. Write the name of the Entity and the Field Name next to each question. See the GOapply Admin Guide for more information on mapping.
- Determine where you might want to use Conditional and Branching Logic: Conditional and Branching Logic uses the field Name. In pages or sections where you’ll want to use logic, be sure to Name the field in a way that will help you build out the logic. Pulling all this together prior to entering it in GOapply will make learning how to use GOapply much easier for you.
technical setup
Now that you’ve got your application ready to go, there are some technical details that need to be completed.
- Bookmark URL: it is the URL to which you will direct applicants. We recommend you bookmark it in your browser. This URL will be provided to you when you are given access to GOapply. If you are unsure of your URL, you can find it on your GOapply Setting record in the GOapply URL field.
- Create GOapply login via URL: Refer to the GOapply Admin Guide for instructions.
- Approve your login in GOapply app: See the GOapply Admin Guide for instructions.
- Create your Application: Refer to the GOapply Admin Guide for instructions.
