Match Scholarships on Request

On akoyaGO CRM Request Records, there is an option to match the request with scholarships without having to enable GOapply Scholarship Automatch.

Things to know

The Match Scholarships button on Request will create Requested Scholarship records for all scholarships that match the criteria in the Request. This is a helpful tool for organizations that do not want to utilize GOapply Scholarship Automatch as it enables foundation staff to have more control over which Requests get matched with Scholarships.

GOapply Scholarship Automatch = Off

Before using this tool, make sure that your Scholarship application is published and that Automatch Enabled = No in your GOapply settings.

Create Scholarship Criteria

Before using this tool, make sure that each Scholarship record contains its criteria for eligibility. For instructions on how to do that, please see the GOapply Scholarship Automatch knowledge article.

Match Scholarships on Request

This tool can be used in bulk or on an individual record. If from a view, the button will appear after the records have been selected. This example will walk through the process on an individual request, but the experience is largely the same.

Step 1: Receive Scholarship Application

After applicants have submitted the scholarship application you will have Request records that need matched with scholarships.

Step 2: Match Scholarships

From a view or record, select the Scholarship Automatch button in the toolbar.

A banner will appear alerting you that automatch has been run on the associated status tracking record. *Note: this process will not run if there is not an associated Status Tracking Record.*

Step 3: Review Requested Scholarships

The process will look at fields on the request and compare their values to Scholarship criteria. Any fields matching the criteria will create a Requested Scholarship record with the status of Eligible. Now you can review the requested scholarships and assign an awarded amount.

Step 4: Approve - Requested Scholarship

After the requested scholarships have been reviewed and amounts to award added, you can approve the request. Use the Approve – Requested Scholarship option to create a payment for each requested scholarship.
