If you have voided a check using the 'Void Check Only' option rather than the 'Unapply and Void' option, follow the steps below to clean up the affected data.
Step 1: Business Central Vendor
Start by selecting the Vendor on which the check was voided. Click the Vendor tab of the record and select Ledger Entries.
Step 2: Check the void line in the ledger
Find the open check void line in the ledger. The description will say "Voiding check XXXX".
Click the ellipses (three dots) to open the ledger line. Select 'Unapply Entries'
On the popup that opens, click Unapply, then Yes.
The entries will be unapplied.
Re-Apply Entries
Find the same entries that you just unapplied and click the ellipses again and select Apply Entries.
Remove the data in the Applies To ID field.
Click on the Set Applies-to ID option.
The Balance should now be $0.00.
Post
Click on Post Application.
Click OK.
The Request Payment should now be an open item on the vendor ledger.
