Leveraging Quick Create Forms

 

Prerequisites

 
A Quick Create Form is a streamlined data entry form that allows users to create new records quickly and without navigating away from their current screen. Quick create forms are particularly helpful when a user needs to create a related record directly from another record (for example, creating a Request from a Constituent record or creating a Gift from a Donor record). akoyaGO has several quick-create forms that will be enabled by default. However, if your organization was installed before 2022, you may need to enable these Quick Create Forms, specifically for the Request and Gift tables. The instructions below provide instructions for leveraging a quick create form in Power Apps.

  Leveraging Quick Create Form in Power Apps

 

 

1. Go to make.powerapps.com and log in using your akoyaGO credentials.  You must have the System Customizer role to access Power Apps.

 

2. Ensure the environment is correct. There is a default environment. Choose the environment that is your organization’s name if it is not selected.

 

3. Drop down the Dataverse option in the left-hand navigation panel and select Tables.

4. Make sure the tables shown are set to All. It may be set to Recommended by default.

 

5. Navigate to the table for which you would like to leverage the quick create form.

6. Click Properties from within the table.

 
 

 

7. A panel will slide out from the right side of the screen. Expand the Advanced options section.  

 


 

8. Scroll down until you see the Leverage quick-create form if available. Check the box next to that setting. Click Save.
