GOfund testing checklist
This checklist is intended to help your Foundation staff test your customized GOfund site before launching to your fundholders. This checklist is not a comprehensive guide, but rather a list of suggestions based on previous implementations.
GOfund settings
- All fields filled in inside the GOfund Settings entity
- Any text fields left blank will remain blank on the GOfund site.
- i.e. if the FAQ Page - Page Content field is left blank, the FAQ Page will not populate on the site
- Foundation User is set and has “send email on behalf of” permissions turned on
- All automated emails from GOfund will be sent from this user’s contact email. Therefore, the system needs permission to send on their behalf.

- Sign In instructions, Consent Language, Header and Footer language is customized to your Foundation
- Theme settings are filled in and all colored text and buttons are legible in the site
- Home Page is enabled or not, if so, consider linking an RSS feed to your website
- If Documents Tab is enabled, check SharePoint sites and add test documents
- Global resources can be added as well as fund specific documents, please read about the differences in the GOfund Admin Guide
- If Donations are enabled in GOfund, check Stripe connection and make a test donation
Email Templates
- Out of the box GOfund email templates have been personalized with Foundation information (5 Standard Templates)
- GOfund – 2FA Code
- GOfund – Invite New User
- GOfund – Rest Password
- GOfund – Access to a New Fund
- GOfund – First Time Login
- (Optional) Additional custom email templates created for email confirmations for fundholders and foundation staff
- Email templates are sending upon the appropriate trigger and a copy of the email is showing in the Contact timeline
System views
- Grant History view includes the data in columns that you want your fundholder to see
- Gift History view includes the data in columns that you want your fundholder to see
- Eligible Organizations are included in the Grant Recommendation Form drop down list
Fund statements
- Fund statement data in Business Central and accurately represented for each fund
- (Optional) Fund Statement template is unique to different fund types and pulling the accurate version in GOfund
User interface - login / logout
- New fund connection recipient receives appropriate registration email
- Login instructions on page are clear and logo displays
- Registration link allows user to create a new password
- Forgot password button sends a reset link to the contact’s email
- Forgot password link directs contact to create a new password

- Returning user login successful
- User logout successful

- GOfund Invitation will also be recorded in the GOfund Usage Metrics Dashboard
- User sign-ins, view fund statements, and recommendations will all be recorded in the Usage Metrics Dashboard
- Fund connection tab of the fund record lists the appropriate fund connections for that fund
user interface - site navigation
- Foundation Staff Contact displays accurate contact information
- If the Fund has a specific contact designated, it changes from the default foundation staff contact
- If the Fund has a specific contact designated, it changes from the default foundation staff contact
- View Funds drop-down includes fund names for all connections tied to the contact user
- RSS page is pulling accurately or not shown if RSS feed is not connected
- All views are displaying appropriate information on each tab: Fund Summary, Grant History and Gift History
- System views have been edited accordingly if changes were made

- FAQ page is populating data listed in GOfund settings or the tab does not exist if there is no data in the GOfund Settings text box
- Documents tab is populating global and fund specific documents uploaded
user interface - recommend a grant
- List of eligible organizations is accurate and up to date
- The system view can be edited to filter out organizations that should not be included

- Grant recommendation amount minimum is set
- Test functionality of both restricted and unrestricted recommendations
- Test functionality of the file upload option
- View error messaging when a grant recommendation is incomplete
- View the submission on-screen message
